Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: June 2026
This statement is made voluntarily by Luckywebs Digital Ltd. As a small business, our annual turnover falls below the threshold that makes a statement mandatory under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We publish this statement because we support the principles behind the Act and want to be clear about the steps we take to help ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or our supply chains.
1. Introduction and Commitment
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.
Although we are not legally required to produce this statement, we have chosen to do so to set out our position openly and to show that we take these issues seriously, even at our size.
2. Our Business and Structure
Luckywebs Digital Ltd is a small UK digital agency providing web design, search engine optimisation (SEO) and digital marketing services. We operate from a single office in London, England, and we work with a small team. Our website is luckywebs.co.uk.
Given our size and the nature of our work, our operations are based in the United Kingdom and our day to day activities are office based and digital in nature.
3. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains are relatively simple and consist mainly of:
- Software and online tools used to deliver our services.
- Cloud hosting and related technical infrastructure.
- Occasional freelance or subcontractor support where specialist skills or extra capacity are needed.
The suppliers we rely on are typically established UK or international technology providers, and the freelancers and subcontractors we engage are usually individuals or small businesses based in the United Kingdom.
4. Our Policies Relevant to Modern Slavery
We aim to conduct our business fairly and lawfully. The following principles guide how we work:
- We treat everyone we work with, including employees, freelancers and subcontractors, fairly and with respect.
- We expect those who provide services to us to act lawfully and ethically, and to comply with relevant employment and human rights laws.
- We do not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking.
- We encourage anyone working with us to raise concerns about any aspect of our business or supply chains, and we take any such concerns seriously.
As a small business, our policies are kept clear and proportionate. We review them from time to time and will formalise them further as the company grows.
5. Due Diligence and the Steps We Take
The steps we take to address the risk of modern slavery include:
- Working with reputable suppliers and service providers wherever possible.
- Engaging freelancers and subcontractors on fair terms and paying them on time.
- Being alert to warning signs when entering into new business relationships.
- Raising any genuine concerns with the relevant supplier and, where appropriate, ending the relationship.
6. Risk Assessment
The nature and size of our business mean that our exposure to modern slavery risk is low. We operate from a single office in the United Kingdom, our work is digital and office based, and our supply chains are short and made up mainly of software, hosting and occasional professional support.
We recognise that no business is entirely without risk, and we remain mindful of this when choosing who we work with.
7. Training and Awareness
Because we are a small team, our approach to training is informal and proportionate. We make sure that those involved in choosing suppliers and engaging freelancers are aware of the risks of modern slavery and know to raise any concerns. As the business grows, we will consider more formal training and guidance.
8. Financial Year Covered
This statement relates to the financial year ending 30 September 2024. We intend to review this statement and update it as needed to reflect any changes in our business or supply chains.
9. Approval
This statement has been approved by Rafi Akbar, a director of Luckywebs Digital Ltd, on 1 September 2024.
